In a Conservation District, each member municipality and community appoints ratepayers and councilors to represent them in each Sub District.
Representation is based upon actual landbase within each sub district watershed.
AHCD is comprised of six Sub Districts, each committee selecting it's own Chair and Vice Chair. Each Chair then becomes a member of the AHCD Board. The AHCD Board elects a Chair and a Vice Chair.
AHCD Board hires staff to provide technical and adminstrative duties for the Conservation District.
